1. Apply a dry cotton roll under the lip
above the tooth. Important to prevent the
lip from getting in the way and moistening
the tooth. Clean the whole tooth by rubbing
a dry cotton roll in steady sweeps in a
downward direction. |
|

|
2. Apply Twinkles Blue Etching Gel on an
area slightly larger than the crystal being
mounted. Leave for 20 seconds. Wipe off the
gel with a dry cotton roll in a downward
motion. Clean thoroughly with a wet roll to
moisten the surface. Always use downward
movements to secure that all the etching is
removed and does not come in contact with
the gum. With a dry cotton roll
wipe the tooth dry until you get a white
frosty surface. This is vital to achieve a
firm attachment. If you do not get the
frosty surface, repeat the procedure.

 |
3. Apply a thin layer of the Twinkles
Bonding with the brush to the frosty area.
Dab with cotton roll fast and light to
remove any excess. |
|
 |
4. Apply Twinkles Flow Composite on an area
a little larger than the jewel and about the
same thickness. |
|
 |
5. Pick up the jewel by lightly pressing the
Starpicker against the front of the jewel.
Do not use tweezers. Place the crystal in
the flowable composite and twist the
Starpicker slightly to loosen it. |

|
6. When bonding dental crystals it is
imperative to bond the side of the glass to
prevent the glass from eventually separating
from the foil. This is best accomplished by
sliding the crystal around in the flow with
the probe before positioning and pressing
the Crystal carefully tight against the
enamel. Avoid getting any composite on top
of the Crystal. |
|
 |
7. Press to make sure the jewel is in
contact with the enamel. Light cure in a
45-degree angle from all 4 directions for 20
seconds each, a total of 80 seconds. Wipe
clean with a wet cotton roll. Use dental
floss between teeth.
Let the customer rinse. |
